War is definitely coming to American Gods and its apparent ring leader, Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), is ready for it in the first full trailer for season 2. According to the SIA, 2021 saw the highest ever annual total for the industry. Even so, it failed to keep up with demand, leaving computer manufacturers and the auto industry, in particular, short of components. Despite the shortages felt by these sectors, the industry shipped a record 1.15 trillion semiconductor units in 2021. Apple’s rumored HDTV might be called the iTV, according to a new report from Bloomberg citing Jefferies & Co. analyst Peter Misek. In a note to clients this morning, Misek also claimed Apple might buy licenses for programming through possible partnerships with Verizon and AT&T and could “leverage content into a YouTube-like model” by taking advantage of user created video from iPhone and iPad users. He also noted “Lower margins and higher risks” will most likely keep Apple away from creating original programming....

Annabelle summons all manner of demons and evil spirits in the second trailer for The Conjuring mid-quel, Annabelle Comes Home. After starring in a pair of prequels that explored her backstory, the eponymous evil doll is back with a third spinoff, which picks up shortly after the original Conjuring’s prologue. The film follows demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) as they lock Annabelle away in their home’s artifacts “museum”, lest she cause any more hubbub....

On Thursday, members of Anonymous announced on Twitter that they would be launching attacks against the Russian government. The hacktivists defaced some local government websites in Russia and temporarily took down others, including the website of Russian news outlet RT. The group claimed on Friday that it would leak login credentials for the Russian Ministry of Defense website. The actions came hours after Yegor Aushev, co-founder of a Kyiv-based cybersecurity company, told Reuters that he was asked by a senior Ukrainian Defense Ministry official to publish a call for help within the hacking community....

The American Foundation for the Blind today announced four honorees for the upcoming Helen Keller Achievement Awards, highlighting Apple’s VoiceOver and Accessibility efforts alongside actor Charlie Cox, musician Ward Marston, and biopharmaceutical company Vanda Pharmaceuticals.
