But the latest such scene from Ant Man and The Wasp - however unintentionally - may leave some fans wishing the filmmakers had gone with a different punchline....

The largest cell phone operator made the announcement today, the latest in what appears a fashionable string of mobile telcos to let investors know they’ve bagged distribution rights for the Apple mobile phone. It had been thought local operator Telcel would take this prize, though with recent indications that Apple isn’t seeking wholly exclusive deals, there’s still an outside chance Telcel will get to carry the device. With a subscriber base of 153 million in 2007, America Movil operates in 15 markets in the region, including Brazil, Mexico and the Dominican Republic....

American Horror Story: Roanoke adapted Celtic mythology to create an origin story for the first Supreme in the anthology’s continually connected lore. The series sixth season premiered in 2016 and followed Hotel, which was a distinct change of pace for the series as it was the first without mainstay leading lady, Jessica Lange at the helm. Instead, Hotel relied on the talents of returning alumni Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Angela Bassett, but cast Lady Gaga in a primary leading role as well....

American Express updated its Amex Mobile app today with one notable new feature: the ability to login into your account using Touch ID. Log-in securely with the same user ID and Password you use on americanexpress.com. And now, enjoy quicker access with Touch ID, available for supported devices with iOS 8. The new features utilizes Apple’s Touch ID finger print sensor, which in iOS 8 was opened to third-party apps for logins after previously being reserved for unlocking the device itself and authenticating App Store and iTunes purchases....

In a new report, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said not to expect the redesigned Lightning connector or power adaptor to feature as part of the iPhone 6’s package, quoting cost reasons. The new Lightning connector was intriguing in that it was reversible on both ends, including a specially-designed USB connector so that it could be inserted both ways up. The power adaptor was admittedly less exciting, and mirrored the form factor of the chargers seen in Australia....

Analysts are predicting the the launch of the iPhone 5S and 5C will set new records for Apple with the company selling up to 13M handsets in the first nine days following the predicted availability date of 20th September. That’s close to double the 7M phones sold in the first nine days of the iPhone 5 launch. The prediction is made by Pacific Crest analyst Andy Hargreaves, cited by AllThingsD:...

There is a word on the street that Google will soon drop the Android tag from its business. It is starting out by scrapping the term from its products. Speaking of which, Android messages gets rebranded into Messages. There is, however, no change in the App name as we see in the menu. Not long ago Messages received a noticeable revamp in the design. It is interesting to note that Google in its latest “Made by Google” event never mentioned the term Android....

Every TV show that has ever existed longs to get its audience emotionally invested into its story and its characters, but it’s rare that shows manage to engage their audiences (and crush their hearts and souls) in the way that Angel did. It’s easily one of the best genre-shows ever created, and it’s brutal plot twists were powerful enough to leave a permanent mark on the minds of its viewers....

The stats show that the Android Market had around six times fewer apps a year ago vs. today – 130,000 apps and growing. During that same period, Apple doubled its number and now has 300,000. And just for reference, Nokia’s Ovi Store is struggling at a measly 25,000. Another interesting fact from the report pointed out that developers seem to gravitate towards providing free apps, opting for other monetization methods....

Bravo TV personality and host, Andy Cohen, mourns the loss of Project Runway’s Chris March in a heartfelt Instagram post. The designer had been a guest on Cohen’s talkshow in previous years and was a member of the Bravo network family. March rose to fame following his time on season four of Project Runway back in 2007, and though he placed fourth in that season, that didn’t stop him from appearing on Project Runway All Stars as well as Project Runway: All Star Challenge....

IT and IT Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti is set to helm a remake of The Howling for Netflix, and it could serve to revive the werewolf genre. While werewolves are one of the most iconic monsters in the history of fiction, for whatever reason, they’ve never seemed to take off on the big screen in the way other archetypal creatures like vampires, ghosts, and demons have. The iPhone 7 leaks keep coming. Earlier today the latest alleged spy shots showed what appeared to be fully assembled devices, which are most likely the clones based on leaked designs that often surface ahead of a new iPhone launch. Now, a video from unknown sources on Chinese website Weibo (via techtastic.nl) shows a similar design to previous leaks. The device in the video below shows many of the characteristics we’ve seen in previous photos allegedly showing next-gen iPhone components....

Whilst we still aren’t entirely sure what the iPhone 8 will look like, there have been a flurry of rumors in the last month that the device will not be launching to Apple’s normal annual schedule. Today, Nikkei is the latest publication to claim that the iPhone 8 may not be in customer’s hands until late October or November. The report pinpoints the OLED panel, wireless charging components and new circuit boards as the reason for the production problems....

Although many fans were skeptical of Ant-Man when Edgar Wright left the project because of creative differences with Marvel Studios, some felt the project was still in good hands with director Peyton Reed at the helm. Reed is not an auteur director like Edgar Wright, but he’s more than a competent filmmaker and brought Ant-Man to completion. When the superhero movie opened in August, a number of people were pleasantly surprised by Ant-Man and felt it was a solid addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Phase II....

According to a report from Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, Apple could sell 4.6+ million Macs in the September quarter, topping the company’s previous record of 4.1 million during the holiday quarter ending in December 2010. This lines up nicely with estimates of 4.5 million from Wall Street. The estimates, based on NPD data that shows Mac sales are up 22% for first two months of the September quarter, suggests Apple is slated to sell between 4....
