Bravo TV personality and host, Andy Cohen, mourns the loss of Project Runway’s Chris March in a heartfelt Instagram post. The designer had been a guest on Cohen’s talkshow in previous years and was a member of the Bravo network family.

March rose to fame following his time on season four of Project Runway back in 2007, and though he placed fourth in that season, that didn’t stop him from appearing on Project Runway All Stars as well as Project Runway: All Star Challenge. The fan-favorite designer had been battling health issues since 2017 following a near-death accident in his home, and in the years following he started a GoFundMe page where he was open about the financial burden the accident had taken on him, as well as the mental and physical burden. On his GoFundMe page, March had written “In the face of all my setbacks, I try to remain positive … I try to add humor, glamour, and a little glitter to my world” which is exactly how he’ll be remembered.

Following his accident March was in a medically-induced coma for two months and when he woke up he was met with the news that he had suffered paralysis in both his legs as well as one of his arms and his right hand. He also had a collapsed lung, and experienced severe depression following the accident, which he was open about with his fans. The 56-year-old contestant’s death was due to complications from that accident two years ago - specifically from a heart attack. Watch What Happens Live host Cohen took to Instagram to share his feelings on the designer, who had been a guest on Cohen’s Bravo show, and who Cohen interacted with on many other occasions. See Cohen’s commemorative post of March below:

Cohen shared a photo of March dressed up as The Real Housewives and Vanderpump Rules’ first lady of reality TV - Lisa Vanderpump. He wrote that choose to always remember the costume designer in that particular way, happy and in that costume. He said that March “had a big booming laugh” and that “he was a joy and delight,” which is how many who interacted with March would describe him. He also explained that he has designed for some of the biggest names in Hollywood, as well as The Real Housewives of New York City star, Sonja Morgan.

March was a well-known, sought after designer who dressed numerous celebrities from Beyonce and Madonna to Meryl Streep and Prince, and he will be missed in the fashion community, the Project Runway and Bravo TV community, and from this world in general. He was known for being continuous positively throughout his life regardless of his accident and whatever life threw at him. March left his mark artistically in this world. His legacy lives on forever through his designs.
