Long gone are the days of waiting years or even decades for a new Star Wars film. With Episode VII: The Force Awakens still fresh in the mind of fans, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is less than a week and a half away from premiering. The tale, which will be the first in a line of proposed spinoffs to release in between installments of the classic saga, centers around a group of Rebels and their plans to steal the schematics to the Death Star. The plot directly connects to the original film in the franchise, A New Hope. It will also feature a number of cameos, from Darth Vader and Mon Mothma, to Saw Gerrera from the animated Clone Wars TV series.

Before audiences get a look at the new movie next Thursday evening, however, the film’s star-studded Hollywood premiere is just days away. Being held at the Pantages Theater in downtown Hollywood, California this Saturday night, the event will be a chance for the cast, crew, press, and a number of celebrities to experience the latest entry into the Star Wars canon. Given the scope of the event, it’s no surprise that Lucasfilm would want to pull out all the stops for the gala — like they did earlier this week when they projected the Death Star onto Epcot’s Spaceship Earth during a special event at Disney World in Florida.

Now, thanks to FOX LA, we know that the minds behind the films (or more likely their marketing department) have decided to give fans an up-close look at one of the movie’s X-Wings — by placing it in the middle of a closed-down street in front of the theater. Take a look:

Though the video doesn’t get close enough for us to see any details, it’s unlikely the people behind the movie would go through all the trouble of sticking an X-Wing in the middle of Hollywood if it didn’t look fantastic. There’s even a chance the ship is one of the builds used for the movie. We know that practical effects continue to be a big priority for Lucasfilm, and set photos from Rogue One and TFA made it clear that many of the vehicles in the films were actually created.

With the movie’s focus on the burgeoning Rebel Alliance, it makes sense to highlight their starfighter of choice. X-Wings have featured prominently in a number of Star Wars movies, series, games, and books, and are easily one of the most iconic images associated with the franchise. Hopefully, some Screen Rant readers will get a chance to see the ship up close and personal over the next few days. Either way, as soon as we get a better look at the prop, we’ll let you know.
