Marvel Studios’ latest blockbuster sequel Ant-Man & The Wasp runs for exactly one minute longer than the first Ant-Man, according to press materials. Ant-Man & The Wasp will of course be Marvel Studios’ third entry into the MCU canon in 2018, after February’s mega hit Black Panther, and April’s seismic smash Avengers: Infinity War. Featuring Paul Rudd returning as the current iteration of Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly’s Hope Van Dyne officially assuming the identity of The Wasp, and Michael Douglas as genius inventor - and original Ant-Man - Hank Pym, Ant-Man & The Wasp heads to theaters with high expectations from fans, and hope that it can somehow live up to its 2018 predecessors....

Ant-Man & the Wasp may be all about rescuing Janet van Dyne from the Quantum Realm, but the mission might have some negative consequences. Though Ant-Man was a more humorous standalone film, focused more on character than a world-ending threat, it still opened up some pretty heady doors in the MCU. The idea of the Quantum Realm was only teased in the first film, but this year’s sequel will be all about exploring the trippy dimension and trying to bring Hank’s wife back from it....

Continuing the trend, another analyst today is out with his bullish expectations for Apple and the upcoming iPhone 8. As noted by CNBC, Nomura Instinet investor Jeffrey Kvaal has raised his target price for AAPL from $150 to $165 based on the expected iPhone 8 super cycle… Kvaal predicts that Apple will sell 87 million iPhones during the first quarter of 2018, which begins October 1st of this year and runs through the holiday season....

While many analysts have predicted a “super cycle” for the iPhone 8, there have been a handful of reports recently giving more weight to a possible delay as Apple is said to be in ‘panic mode’ in regards to wireless charging and 3D features in addition to other component challenges. The latest report from Barclays analysts suggests that a new bezel-less OLED display won’t be enough to convince many users to upgrade....

Fundraiser site Charitybuzz is currently running a charity auction for lunch with Tim Cook valued at $100,000. The lunch with the Apple CEO will take place at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California, and accommodates two people. Lunch is covered, but paying for travel and stay is up to the winning bidder. Also included in the package is two passes to a future Apple keynote event sometime between the end of the auction and May 5, 2017 so there’s a chance the lunch and event could happen at Apple’s in-progress Campus 2....

The latest analyst report from Wedbush’s Dan Ives gives the firm’s insight into Apple’s upcoming product roadmap. Like a lot of rumors, Ives expects Apple to replace the 16-inch MacBook Pro with an Apple Silicon model and a chassis redesign incorporating dedicated IO ports. Echoing Bloomberg’s reporting, he expects iOS 15 to include new notifications features, more privacy awareness and perhaps updates to iMessage.
