Analyst Gene Muster, from Piper Jaffray, has today posted a report with his predictions about Apple Watch pricing. Munster believes that Apple will improve overall margins through the sale of bands. This makes a lot of sense, especially considering Apple Retail SVP Angela Ahrendts is calling out ‘accessories’ as a key area for retail in the coming months. Munster believes that the Apple Watch Sport will cost $349 (no surprises there)....

AirPower is Apple’s solution to wirelessly charging multiple devices at the same time, on a single mat. The company originally announced the mat back in September, alongside the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, and iPhone X. While not official, the company is also slated to launch a new wirelessly charging AirPods case alongside AirPower. The charging mat will support iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone X, Apple Watch Series 3, and the new AirPods case....

Gillian Anderson may have been one of the biggest names to grace American Gods’ first season, but Neil Gaiman’s world is looking for someone completely different to play the role of Media when the show returns. Adapting Gaiman’s 2001 novel about the battle between old deities and their modern equivalents, American Gods was one of 2017’s most anticipated shows. It didn’t fail to deliver on the artistic flair thanks to Bryan Fuller and Michael Green at the helm, but there were major changes ahead of season 2 when Fuller and Green exited American Gods....

Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story debuted in 2011 with its first season, known as Murder House. The show has since gone on to have eight more seasons, and will have its tenth in 2020....

The update has rolled for Pixel supported devices and few other OEM supported with Android Beta. After putting Android users through four beta updates of Android P, Google has named Android 9.0 as Android Pie. It is expected that in the coming months all the devices that had been signed up for the Android P beta program including the OnePlus 6, Oppo R15 Pro, Vivo X21 and more will receive the Android P update first....

Warner Bros. has revealed that the 2019 Conjuring cinematic universe film is the as-yet untitled Annabelle 3. The film is being directed by Gary Dauberman, who has become WB’s go-to screenwriter for horror movie franchises after his efforts on the previous two Annabelle films and last year’s box office sensation IT. He has also written this year’s Conjuring series installment The Nun - a spinoff based around demonic nun Valak from The Conjuring 2 - and is handling the script for 2019’s IT: Chapter 2....

Ant-Man and the Wasp has the lowest production budget of Marvel Studios’ three 2018 releases, but it still cost more to make than its 2015 predecessor. After Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War helped take the Marvel Cinematic Universe to epic new heights as the franchise celebrates its 10th anniversary, Marvel is closing the year out with something of a palate cleanser. Even Kevin Feige has described Ant-Man and the Wasp as a breath of fresh air, which is being sold to audiences as a comedic romp through this corner of the universe....

I’ve talked about Android’s fragmentation a number of times, and the company’s latest charts show devices that have accessed the Google Play Store over a period of two weeks is growing. There are still devices going as far back as Android 1.5 – Cupcake. But they only account for 0.2% of the devices accessing the store (a similar figure – 0.5% – for Donut, a.k.a. Android 1.6). Compared to the 14-day period ending on July 2nd (it was close to 11% then), it has now grown to close to 16%....

Android Wear finally has iOS support after Google pushed its iPhone-compatible software to the App Store. This means that Android has beaten Apple Watch to the cross-platform game. Or, at least it would, if iOS didn’t restrict it to a state of almost uselessness. The only device officially supported is the LG Watch Urbane although — as we previously revealed — the older generation Android Wear watches do work. I got it set up with my Moto 360, and have been mostly disappointed by my experience so far....

Apple may be revamping its storefronts to promote the Apple Watch, but it won’t be encouraging you to buy one there. Retail head Angela Ahrendts has sent a memo to Apple Store staff asking them to suggest customers use the online store to order both the Apple Watch and 12-inch MacBook. The memo reportedly reflects the fact that store inventory of both products will be very limited when the MacBook goes on sale on Friday and the Apple Watch follows two weeks later....

Anaconda, which was first released in 1997 from director Luis Llosa, established itself as a fun, easily-digestible horror movie with a strong cast that included Jon Voight, Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, and Ice Cube....

It’s been said several times that Apple’s latest iPhone 8 flagship will be its most expensive model to date, with reports claiming the device will come in at more than $1,000. Now, in the build up to the device’s announcement later this year, analysts are making predictions as to exactly how much the new flagship will cost… Today, Goldman Sachs analyst Simona Jankowski issued a new research note to investors in which she outlines her expectations for the iPhone 8....

A post on Weibo from a Chinese analyst (via GforGames) suggests that the new iPhone design will not feature a protruding camera, which would have seemingly enabled optical image stablization, as Apple has instead opted to focus on a super-thin profile for the new device. Apple’s current line of iPhones take advantage of the embedded SoC’s processing power to enable software-based image stabilization. Whilst optical image stabilization is generally considered to be superior, it also requires the camera components to be physically much larger....

Google’s website has formally confirmed the modification that the Android Wear brand in 2014 goes away and switch with a new brand name: Wear OS. Wear OS even contains a new slogan: “Make every minute matter.” For now, the news there is; since it works on each Android and iOS, Google’s smartwatch platform is being given an additional versatile denomination that doesn’t tie it to a particular mobile package. Apple’s computer code platform on the Apple Watch is termed as watchOS....

Gamers interested in Anthem but unhappy about the title’s gameplay footage including damage counters can rest a little easier, as BioWare has confirmed that players will have the option to turn them off. The game has had a major showing of late, including being a core part of EA’s E3 2018 press conference, but not everyone was happy with the gameplay details and videos that included damage number displays. Although it’s perhaps not the most heinous crime to include this as part of the game’s display, it’s caught the ire of some of those interested in the game....

It seems fair to say that since the release of iPhone 6, A-series processor updates have been more for future-proofing purposes rather than present necessity for the average user. As a result, biennial upgrades, let alone annual iPhone swaps, became increasingly rare — demonstrated by ever shrinking Apple Store lines proceeding a new launch. Now, the anecdotal findings are being corroborated by industry analyst Toni Sacconaghi from Bernstein, who says that the average iPhone upgrade time has increased to four years, up from three years in fiscal 2018....
